My forte is being able to paint on a large scale. I have a passion to paint Murals and have had the opportunity to work on a variety of them in both Commercial and Residential settings. The following are some examples of my murals.
Queen Street West, Toronto Mural
Painted this 16.5 ft Mural on a brick wall for a Pakistani restaurant ‘KARAHI BOYS’ located at 741 Queen Street West, Toronto, Canada.
Inspired by A. R. Chughtai's "ANARKALI" and Mughul art, its reflecting a moment in the Love story between Prince Salim and Anarkali (pomegranate blossom).
In this scene the Prince is far away from Anarkali. He throws her Narcissus flowers in the hope it reaches her. She looks towards him demurely, imagining being with him while holding the flowers...The urdu writing reads:
"Don't Keep Your Distance, Let Love Happen" - a reverse take on truck art poetry.
Mississauga Restaurant Mural
Painted this Mural on a brick wall for a Pakistani restaurant ‘KARAHI BOYS’ located at 5955 Latimer Drive, Mississauga, Canada.
Inspired by Pakistani Truck Art, the mural reflects the rich colours and traditions of the country.
Karahi Boys Opened in Vaughan 2021.
I created this mural to highlight the fact that hundreds of years ago , in the Mughal era , women participated in Kite flying too. Evidence of this is found in numerous paintings in Mughul Art. Here I have combined the fresh colours of truck art ,and combined both styles, for a light hearted flavor in this Pakistani restaurant.
